Pam and Cynthia...

Oh! My goodness Pam!!

Many thanks for your response to me AND Cynthia.
I have a comment or two regarding James Vanderveer's second wife, Maria
Hardenberg.
At the website you provided, Maria's parents are listed as "James
Hardenburgh and
Juffrow Unk". I believe that is erroneous

Based on the super info provided by Kris Liddle, as follows:

...The second Jacobus (James) Van Derveer was proved Feb. 15, 1810.
It names his ... daughter Dinah wife of Daniel Vail,
children of dr. Phoebe, deceased: ...
the Dutch Reformed Church of Bedminster, and
his father-in-law, *Jacob Hardenberg* (deceased).
Executors were *John Frelinghuysen*, ...

I've recently compiled an enormous amount of research on the Frelinghuysen family.
I suggest the following for the 2nd wife of Jacobus (James) Van Derveer, above

I can't claim knowledge of her given name, but since he identifies his father-in-law
as Jacob Hardenberg, I believe her to be the daughter of Rev. Jacob "James" Hardenburgh
and Dinah Van Bergh Frelinghuysen, widow of Rev. John^2 [Theodorus^1] Frelinghuysen.

One of the executors of the will, above, John Frelinghuysen, was probably Gen. John^4
[>Frederick^3 <John^2 <Theodorus^1] Frelinghuysen, the grandson of Dinah Van Bergh
Frelinghuysen Hardenberg and the great grandson of the immigrant and renowned
(dare I say "notorious"?) Dom. Theodore Jacobus Frelinghuysen.

Many thanks to you and Kris Liddle for opening these doors!!!
