Hello Maureen,
This is Alan Earwaker from sunny Westway Gardens, Redhill.
I believe Thomas Wassall Earwaker may have gone to Australia between 1886
and 1889 with the REEDS family and two of his daughters. On his death
certificate of 1929, 40 years is stated as being the length of time resident
in Victoria, also indicating he went to Australia about 1889.
The second name of Wassall was included in at least 3 generations of this
Earwaker family.
Also, have you been in contact with Maureen Luxton?
(Guild of One Name Studies member, [GOONS], for EARWAKER etc.)
She has a large database of EARWICKER and variants,
unfortunately no email address, but you can write to her at:

Dear Alan
I have the following mariages that might be of interest to you:
John Earwaker batchelor and Jane Wassell spinster on the 5th October 1831
at
Fareham, Hampshire by Licence - Witnesses James Wassell and Joseph
Stubbington.
Thomas Earwaker batchelor of Portsea and Mary Wassell spinster of Fareham
on
the 18th April 1822 at Fareham, Hampshire by Licence - Witnesses John Webb
Wassell, Ann Wassell and Elizabeth Wassell.
I was interested to note the marriage in Sept 1863 of Elizabeth Wassell
EARWICKER registered at Edmonton 3a 215. Do you know any more about her? as
I do a one name study of the Wassells.
Regards, Maureen Frost, Redhill, Surrey
