RATLIFF, Jonathan B. ''Burl'' Age 85, of Englewood, FL, died May 3, 2006 in Venice. He was born Feb. 11, 1921 in Pomeroyton, KY and came to Florida in 1978 from Trenton, OH, locating to Englewood in 1981. He was a sheet metal journeyman and was employed by Valley Sheet Metal in Middletown, OH for over 30 years and a 55 year member of the Sheet Metal Worker's Association. He was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army and served in the China, Burma, India Campaign; life member and past commander of V.F.W. Post #3809, Middletown; a 32 degree Mason and Scottish Rite member. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Englewood and attended Fellowship Church, Englewood. He is survived by his son, Scott (Teri) Ratliff of Monroe, OH; grandson, Rob Ratliff of Cincinnati; brothers, Von Ratliff (Faye) off Eaton, OH and Robert Ratliff of Miami Beach, FL; sisters, Juanita (Carl) Kesterson of Clinton, TN, Jean Hansel of Oxford, OH and Janet Silvers (Gene) of Allen, TX and sister-in-law, Millie Walk!
er of Englewood. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Elza and Mary Lou (Cox) Ratliff; brothers, Herbert and Elmer Ratliff and sisters, Tressie Knorr and Lexie Sawyer. Services and interment will be Saturday in Venice. Memorial donations may be made to the Fellowship Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 121, Englewood, FL 34295.
