Looking for information on Gray Edwards, siblings, parents,etc. Gray was
born __/__/____ in Brunswick Co. VA. He married Elizabeth Lanier Croft on
5/15/1786 in Brunswick Co. VA. Elizabeth was the widow of Moses Ingram, by
whom she had two children, Elizabeth and Benjamin. She apparently had
another son named Benjamin with Gray Edwards. Gray Edwards died in 1803,
signing his will 9/6/1803 and it was proved 10/24/1803 in Brunswick Co.
Virginia.

Gray Edwards and Elizabeth Croft (widow of Moses Ingram) had seven
children. His will of 9/6/1803 implies the oldest of these 7 children,
Thomas, had not yet reached his 20th birthday.
- Thomas Edwards - moved to Madison Co. Alabama
- Martha Edwards - married Henry Scales moved to Tenn
- Gray Edwards (Jr.) may have moved to Ala.
- William Edwards (died while an infant under 20 years without
issue[children])
- John Edwards
- Benjamin Edwards
- Nancy Edwards - married Isaac Mason

Elizabeth Ingram (Elizabeth Croft's daughter by Moses Ingram) married a
William Crittenden and had 4 children. She and her husband and children
alleged her half brother Thomas sold his interest in his father's estate to
them. Thomas denies it. Further, Elizabeth Ingram and her brother
Benjamin come forward in September 1835 (after their mother died) and
allege they should share and share alike in what is left of their
stepfather's (Gray Edwards) estate, with the six remaining children of Gray
and Elizabeth Edwards. At the time this was going on, Isaac Mason was the
Administrator Of Gray Edwards' on going estate.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone on this family.
