Leah and others. There is a descendent on this list of James Philip
Edwards and he likely will answer your query, but in the meantime,
James's father was Isaac Edwards, also a well known baptist preacher,
who came from I don't know where to Monongalia (became Harrison)
county,West Virginia. He was related somehow to my David Edwards, we
think they were brothers, and they both left Harrison County (by the
time they left that part of Monongalia had become Harrison) around
1790. They are found in Shelby Co, KY, in the late 1790's. David
moved on to Breckinridge Co, KY, and then to Spencer Co, IN by 1815
where he was the sheriff for a time. He died there and his will was
recorded in 1822. I have been begging someone to come forward and
tell me they are researching this Edwards family! I won't comment
much on Isaac because I believe the other member on this list can do
