Here are a couple more Rev. War Veterans Pension Apps. as taken from The
Edwards Journal Vol.1, No. 2 dated apr-Jun, 1983

ANDREW EDWARDS
R3262 Service: South Carolina Rank: Private

Application for pension benefits made by the veteran's son, Thomas
Edwards, on 7 Jul 1851 and on this date he resided in Laurens District, S.C.
10 Jun 1851, Edward Scruggs, Sr., aged 81, of Laurens District, S. C.,
declared that he knew Andrew Edwards of Cumberland County, VA, who was then
married to Phebe Meador about 1778, knew that he was in the service of his
country from the beginning to the end of the war under command of officers
Meredith, Morgan and Green, and that he was wounded and honorably discharged.
Said Edwards hasbeen dead about 12 years; and that his wife, Phebe, remained a
widow until her death about 21 years after that of her husband, or 11 years
ago in Laurens District.
10 Jun 1851, Nancy Bradley of Laurens District, S.C., aged 84, stated
that Andrew Edwards and Phebe Meador, her sister, were married in Cumberland
County, VA, in 1778.
7 Jul 1851,Thomas Edwards of Laurens District, S.C., aged 53, stated his
mother was the widow of Andrew Edwards and that she died 4 Jun 1840. His
father, Andrew, died in March 1819. He stated his mother was poor and without
assets and, as one of her heirs, made application for the benefit of all of
them.

DANIEL EDWARDS
W2083 Service: Rhode Island Rank:Private

Application for pension made by veteran in 1832 at which time he was a
resident of Alleghany Co., N.Y. He was born 13 Jul 1757 and died 8 Feb 1845.
In 1848 his widow, Lois, of Alleghany Co., NY, age 76, applied for a pension
and it was allowed.
In 1776, while a resident of Charlestown, RI, he enlisted in Capt John
Park's Company. He also served under Capt Sheffield, Col Noyes in 1777, and
Capt Augustus Stanton in Sullivan's Expedition, and served on several short
tours.
A pension was given the veteran for 22 months actual service as a
private, Rhode Island line.
Supporting the application was information from the family bible which
showed that Daniel Edwards and Anna Stillman, born 1756, daughter of John
Stillman, were married in 1779. Also, that Daniel Edwards and Lois Stillman,
born 1773, daughter of Joseph Stillman, were married in 1797. The children of
Daniel and Lois were:

JACOB EDWARDS
W1579 Service: New Jersey Rank: Private

Application for pension made by veteran on 20 Apr 1818 and on this date
he was age 53 years and upwards and resided an Bloomfield, Essex Co., NJ. He
died 6 Oct 1843 in Essex Co., NJ, at age 79.
In the spring of 1777, he enlisted in Neward, Essex Co., NJ in the
company commanded by Capt Daniel Baldwin in the first Jersey regiment
commanded by Col Matthias Ogden on the Continental Establishment. He enlisted
for 3 years, but continued to serve about 4 years. He was taken sick and was
regularly discharged at Elizabeth Town in NJ after he had obtained another
person to become his substitute. He was in the Battles of Brandywine & German
Town.
Jacob Edwards married Abigail Tunice, a resident of Lexington, Essex Co.,
NJ, on 17 Oct 1799. The ceremony was performed by John Dow, a Methodist
Clergyman.
In an application filed 8 Jan 1821, the veteran listed the following
family members: Wife, Abigail, age about 45 years; Children: Abigail, age
about 16 years; Joseph, age 14 years; Aaron, age 10 years; Margaret, age 8
years upwards; Mary Ann, age 5.
Certificate No.f 11298 was issued to the veteran 4 Jun 1819 under Act of
18 Mar 1818at $96 per annum from 20 Apr 1818. His widow received a pension at
the rate of $96 per annum.
