I am searching for information about James Mathew EDWARDS.
He was born 1836 in Ark. He married Harriet Elizabeth STRICKLIN
on Feb. 10, 1859 in Saline Co., IL. Their only child, James
Larkin EDWARDS, was born on Dec. 9, 1861 in Randolph Co., IL.
James Mathew EDWARDS served in Co. G, 60th Ill. Inf. and received
a disability discharge. He died on January 1, 1871 (or 1872) in
New Minden, Washington Co., IL and was buried in Taylor Cemetery,
Washington Co., IL. He may have been divorced and remarried
before his death.
