Am looking for parents and siblings of a William "Riley" Edwards (he
went
by Riley).

Riley was born "near" Asheville, Bucombe Co, NC around 1815. He
served in the Indian Wars for 2 months, and I have his military file,
which is where most of my information comes from.

Riley was married to Elizabeth Wagoner 6 Aug 1939. They had the
following children (per census)

George W. (ca 1841)
Harriet R. (ca 1843)
James H. (ca 1845/6)
Sarah J. (ca 1848/9)
Thomas (1851/2)
William D (6 Nov 1853)

Riley, Elizabeth, Thomas and William D. migrated to Jefferson Co
TN in 1867. George W. was a CW vet for the CSA, fought in a NC Unit
and was in Jefferson Co TN by 1870. He was on the 1870 census with
wife, Sarah, and a young son 2 yrs old, Marcus. I have NFI on Thomas.
William D. Edwards married a Sarah M. Bettis. I have NFI on the rest
of the children. Riley died 11 Apr 1894 and Elizabeth d. in 1902.

Again, looking for parents of Riley (on census he says father b. in
SC and mother b. in NC), along with siblings. Does anyone recognize
this family? Any information regarding the other children would be
appreciated also.
