Hi Terri,
I haven't found much more on my Edwards. i don't know what my John Edwards
middle name was. here's what i have.

Jesse Edwards. on census records and land deed records i've found he is
listed as J.J.W. Edwards. on the 1870 Monroe County Arkansas census, Jackson
Township:
J.J.W. Edwards age 55 farmer, born Tenn.
Matt ( Martha C.) age 35, born Tenn.
i've not yet been able to find where they were born in Tenn. Children,
all born in Holly Grove, Monroe Co. Ark.. Coran age 5, male.
Luke Matthew, (my grgrandfather) age 3.
James Henry 4/12.
i found a 2nd marriage record for J.J.W. Edwards, ( on this he is listed
as age 50), to Sarah Mcbee, age 30, on 10 April, 1874. both of Monroe Co.
Ark. their children also born in Monroe Co.
Joe born 1877.
John born 1879.
Jessie born 1885.
i've not been able to find death records for 1st wife Martha nor for JJW
& Sarah. after 1885 Sarah remarried to a J. W. McCaleb. can't find anymore
on them. i have talked to a cousin (grandson of the above James H.) his
family said Joe lived & is buried Shreveport, La. & they knew nothing of
what happened to John & Jessie.
