Leon,

Do you happen to know anything about Thomas Edwards who appears in Northwest
2 twp., Orange Co., Indiana in the 1820 census? I think he may be my
husband's GGG-Grandfather.

The information I have on Thomas Edwards is that he was born abt 1789 in
Virginia. His wife at the time of the 1820 census was Elizabeth Duncan
Hickman (born in Kentucky abt 1800), widow of John Hickman. The Thomas
Edwards I am researching married (second?) Elizabeth Duncan Hickman on
November 2, 1819 in Floyd Co., Indiana. On that same census page is a
William Duncan, age 45 and up, and I think he might be the father of
Elizabeth Duncan. My husband descends from Joseph Edwards, the youngest son
of Thomas and Elizabeth Edwards.

By the 1830 census Thomas Edwards was in Martin Co., Indiana. And by the
1840 census, he appears in Daviess Co., Indiana.
