Hi! I am working on two seperate Edwards families. One Edwards
family came from New York to Maryland then south to Georgia up to
Virginia, this family is on my mother's side of our line.
The Other family came from Maryland to Virginia to Pennsylvania, West
Virginia, Ohio and then Illinois. This line of Edwards is actually
on my husband's side of the family. In this line of Edward's my
husbands Grandmother on his fathers side was named Helen Mary Edwards
from Miegs County, Ohio she married a Warren John Orendorff from
Davenport, Iowa.
Helen Mary Edwards-Orendorff's parents were Robert L. Edwards from
Mason County West Virginia who married Anna Mary Beebe from Jackson
County West Virginia.
Note: "Anna Mary Beebe's" parents were William Henry Beebe and
Elizabeth Jane Bean-Beebe who ultimately settled in Illinois.
Grandparts were John Bean, born in Hardy Co., West Virginia and Mary
Ann Leavy-Bean born in Clark Co. Illinois. Both John Bean and his
wife Mary Ann Leavy Bean settled in Illinois and died in Clark Co.,
Illinois.
Several of the siblings of the Edwards migrated to Illinois as well.
The Edwards males in several cases married Bean girls. These
marriages took the newly married Edwards couples to Illinois.
This is where I am in the family Two Edwards family research. I have
birth, death, some marriage dates and some notes on the migration to
Illinois. I also have the offspring of the Edwards, Beebe's and Bean
connections to the Edwards Line.
