In the hopes that some new subscriber knows something (we're
up over 100 now!) I would love to hear from any Eastern KY with
Willis roots.
My mother's stepfather raised her from babyhood. He was Carl
Willis who was connected with the power plant north of Louisa.
Carl was born in Magoffin county and his parents were Sarah
Caudill (d/o Amanda Johnson (Gullett?) and Thomas Caudill) and
Charels Wesley Willis ... a Presbyterian minister in Ironton
and Ashland for many years. I know the Caudills, can't explain
why Amanda is reported as a Gullet when I know Johnson
(probably from the Susan Southern/Johnny Johnson line) but I
know nothing about the Willis family.
