Hey Mary, My husband's McK's are from Trigg County KY from
the land between the lakes region. They started out from
Dingwall Scotland to Iredell Co NC and appear briefly in SC on
muster rolls before migrating to KY where they settled.
Michael's branch then went on to California and settled where
the Rose Bowl now stands in Pasadena.
I understand that many of the Eastern Kentucky McK's are
from Scott Co Va and lots of my family that I haven't found yet
comes from there (Edward P Hill, William Osborn and Ruth Bays
namely) so there might be a link to eastern KY McK's if I keep
digging <G>.
Sorry I couldn't help!
Laura
