Hi,
I'm looking for information on the family of John Ellenburg,
who was born about 1848 in SC, the son of John Canon & Celia
Butler Ellenburg. John married about 1868/69 Louisa A. Dryman,
who was born 1850-53 in Pickens County, SC, the daughter of
Leonard & Nancy Alexander Dryman. Leonard Dryman died in 1863
and Nancy Alexander Dryman died in June of 1868, it is reasonable
to assume that John and Louisa married soon after that. They
are found on the 1870 census in Gilmer County, Georgia:

Louisa A.16 F Keeping HouseSC
Where were they after this census, did they have children?
Living nearby are:

Martha 24 F Keeping House SC
Jacob R. 2 M SC
William Drymond 12 M Works on Farm SC
Jane 8 F SC
N.G. is John's brother Nathaniel Greenberry and Martha is
Louisa's sister.
William and Jane Drymond (Dryman) are Martha & Louisa's younger
brother and sister. I still have not located all the children
in the 1870 census.
For more information on the Dryman's see:

There is also a John Elenburg, age 76, born in SC on page 33
(I didn't copy this listing earlier, but he's on the index.)
Is this John Cannon Elenburg?
