Dear listers
Have reached the point where I need to find out some 'up to date' stuff in
order to make connections. Just wondering if anyone could help with some
info. Have a relie who served in the RFC in WW1 and then, at some point
went to India and was chief officer in Bombay throughout the 2nd WW. Wife
was in the WVS. They also lived in Kenya while he worked in the Treasury
Department.
Would these posts have been for the UK government
Are there any records re intelligence overseas
Are the any places to get info re WVS????

Also while I am being a pest is there a place to get records of people with
a record! Someone we lose had a reputation as a scoundrel - gambler etc and
we thought a gap we cannot fill might be time spent 'inside'. When he
reappears and has child number 6 he has added a new name on to his surname!

Anyone any ideas? Would be VERY garteful for some starting points.
