Hi Paula

I have John Izzard in Litlington Census of 1851; H, Wr, 72, Ag Lab, b.Guilden Morden.

1851-72 = 1779.

Candidate = John Izzard baptised 5 July 1779 at Guilden Morden, son of John and Elizabeth (Nee Reynolds) - although there does not appear to be a burial entry, it looks as if John baptised on the same date in 1778 died.

John & Elizabeth appear to have had five children all at Guilden, John Snr being buried there in 1784.

I don't understand - "but he was alive and well in 1841 so he is not old John"

I think so, John & Elizabeth are not likely to have produced another child between the two correct entries for Izzard at the time.
