Too much mulled wine and mince pies dulls the brain...

PS I believe the Bassingbourn (Cambridgeshire) poor went to the Royston
workhouse (now in Hertfordshire).

I recently found my G-G-Grandfather in 1851 census of the District Union
Workhouse, Bassingbourne Parish, Cambridgshire. Does anyone have any
information on this particular workhouse? Valerie Jackson
