LEVERINGTON -
Owing to the prevalence of measles in the village, in consequence of which out of 100 children on the school register only 23 were able to attend on Monday, April 14th, it is thought advisable to close the Day School for a short time; and the Diocesan Inspection which was to have taken place on Friday, May 2nd, has had to be postponed to some day to be fixed at the end of June or the beginning of July.

WISBECH S. MARY
The scholars of the Wisbech S Mary National School received their certificates and prizes for regular attendance, and gave a very creditable entertainment, consisting of songs, recitations, and dialogues, on Friday, April 18th. There was a large and appreciative audience. It is to be regretted that the School Managers were entirely unrepresented, except by the Vicar. The following children, having made in each case more than 400 attendances, received prizes :- William SELCH ( not absent once), Harry BURROWS, Charles WHITE, Samuel MARRIOTT, John NICHOLSON, George BARSBY, Mary Ann SELCH, Sarah SELCH, Maude BURROWS, Adelaide SELBY, Sarah BARSBY
