Subject: NORTHWICH WITTON BURIALS
Date: Sun, 22 Oct 2006 11:11:51 +0100
Some of the burials recorded in the parish registers of St Helen's, Witton
in the early 1900's are prefixed with a letter "C".
Unfortunately the automatic film reader I was using at the time was
definately having an "off-day" (don't ask!!!) and I was unable to find a
page with any accompanying notes.
I suspect that these may well be burials in the Northwich Cemetery - perhaps
before their own records were started or maybe a double entry?
Can anyone confirm this? - my other fleeting thought was cremation, but I
think this unlikely as cremation as we recognise it, was still in it's early
days.
Regards,
Elaine.
