Hi.
Am researching EDGE family. Found your list having used Cheshire in past
and been away from it all doing teacher training(!)

I got quite excited about all the EDGE surnames that appear in everyone's
research

The EDGEs I seek are the ones at Grange on the 1841 census. JOSEPH,
ELIZABETH (nee POWNELL), JOSEPH (1839), DAVID (1841).
Also of this family have ANN (1843), JABEZ (died aged 4 months) and HANNAH
[twins] (1849) and JABEZ (1851) Have found a little more on Jabez.

using the parish records on line (CPR) confirmed all these but don't seem to
be able to search these records like I used to when they were on Sheffield's
computers. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

I have a few more recent EDGEs but mainly a straight line to my husband
rather than all the relatives. I have siblings in families but have yet to
gather spouses!

Names which feature greatly in this family are
JOSEPH EDGE
ELIZABETH EDGE ( The Josephs kept marrying Elizabeths and having Elizabeth
daughters)
ELLEN EDGE
ELSIE EDGE

Another possible snippet. a JOHN EDGE born 1876 who may have emigrated to
Canada


Any info would be greatly appreciated.
