Hello,
I am a new member to this list, posting here for the first time.
My mother was born in 1921 and her parents address at that time is given as
North Downs, Lewannick. Her father WILLIAM BAKER was a farmer and married IVY
ANNIE BROWN.
The BAKERS originally came from North Petherwin but were living in the parish
of Advent when the 1851 census was taken. They lived at Treclego Farm in the
1891 census. Previous to that the address was Pattacott. Does anyone know
where this is please?
I can trace my line of the family back to the marriage of William BAKER to
Caroline CANN in Dec 1841, but not before that. (Caroline also came from
North Petherwin) Can anyone help me with the family of William BAKER, he was
40 in the 1851 census?
On the 1851 census he has two sons, my William BAKER and also his younger
brother Thomas C BAKER, aged 6. Can anyone help me with what happened to
Thomas BAKER?
In 1891 my grandfather William is 5, but he too has a younger brother Thomas
H BAKER aged 4. I know my mother knew her uncle, he was alive when my
grandfather died. (Have not found a date for this yet) I think he was married
with maybe a daughter but that's all I know, another request for help here<s>
!
Thank you for reading my ramblings, Cathy
