Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am tracing my fiance's family tree and
have found that he had a relative who died in WWI. Edward Thomas FOSTER
married Dorothy Williams CURITS in 1908. According to family letters, they had 3
young children which were left behind when Edward died during the war. I am
trying to trace these children but as yet have had no luck. I do know that
the eldest was born around 1908 as one of the letters mentioned that Edwards
eldest was 11 when he died but none of the letters give any names.

Does anyone have any ideas of where I can start to trace these children? I
have searched through 1837online to much expense and although found several
children born in Redruth around this time, unless I order all certficates it's
difficult to find out which are the right ones.

Does anyone know what the local papers are down in that area that I could
write to?

I also know that Edward's name is on the war memorial in Redruth. If anyone
lives nearby and could take a photo I would be grateful.

Just to add a little more information about Edward, he was born in Devonport
in 1886, his parents were John FOSTER and Susan NOCK.

Dorothy CURTIS was born c.1887 in Mawgan in Menage, Cornwall to James Davis
CURTIS and Elizabeth Jane COLLINS.

Sorry for such a long post.

Thanks in advance

Caroline.
