Dear Listers:

I am just about pulling my hair out trying to figure out this particular
family member, as I can find absolutely no information on him either on
any of the best 'free' data bases including the BMD Index. Here is the
information that I do know about him.

First and foremost I have a copy of his marriage license. On the top
right hand corner the following number appears TF 157324 and is
printed. The written information is as follows:

No. 384 Dec 25 1849
Henry TAGGAT, full of Age, Bachelor, Profession: Miner, Residence: The
Hill, Father: William TAGGATT, Profession: School Master
and Eliza FRANCIS, full of Age, Spinster, Residence: West End, Father:
Thomas FRANCIS, Profession: Miner
In the presence of us,: Henry FRANCIS and Elizabeth FRANCIS

Before leaving for Victoria, Australia in 1852 aboard the "Agusta
Schneider" which sailed from Falmouth the above couple had two children
born in Reduth:

Lavinia born circa 1849 in Redruth
William Henry born 25 Nov. 1850 in Redruth

My BIG program is .... I am not able to find NO OTHER record of Henry's,
Lavinia's or William Henry's existance in Cornwall aside from the 1841
Census which shows:

Address: Tolgus Bottom, Penwith, Cornwall
TAGGET, Matilda, Age 50, Occcupation: School Mistress
TAGGET, Matilda, Age 15, Occupation: Tin Dresser
TAGGET, Henry, Age 15, Tin Dresser
Piece HO107/143 Place: Penwith-Cornwall
Civil Parish: Redruth Folio 7 Page 6

FINALLY.... I have NEVER been able to find a record of either Matilda
(daughter) or Henry being baptised.

If anyone has access to the 1851 Census Details for REDRUTH, I would be
estatic to know if Henry Tagget (known variations for the rest of his
family in Cornwall , Devon and Hampshire are Togget, Taggett, Teggett,
and Leggett)
