Hi Caroline,
I think so. I got the information from the following:
1871 census
Julia Anne Thomas born abt 1856, Camborne, Cornwall (parents Edward Thomas
and Jane
Joseph Mutton married Julia Ann Thomas Redruth Sept 1/4 1875 (free bmd)
daughter Elizabeth Hannah Mutton born Redruth 1875 (free bmd)
daughter Caroline Jane Mutton born Redruth Dec 1/4 1877 (free bmd)
Julia Ann Thomas born 1856 Camborne, Cornwall, father Edward Thomas mother
Jane Rosewarne (Marilyn Mulliner of the USA is researching this family and
it is on the LDS Pedigree File)
I believe I found Julia in 1881 but under her maiden name of Thomas and on
holidays in Cornwall with a childhood? friend and her mother. Maybe the
mother could not remember the married name, so used the old one. Everything
fits, and Julia is not with Joseph or the kids in 1881. I have checked the
1881 census to see if Joseph is a widower as he and the kids are with his
parents. However, the census taker was a wonderful person, obviously quite
skillful (not). Josephs father was married, his wife was "Do", Joseph was
"Do", as was his sisters all the way down to the 15 year old, and Josephs
two girls aged 5 and 3 were also "Do". So, even the 3 year old was married,
so that didn't help at all.
Thanks for the suggestion though, apprecaite you taking the time.
Sue
