Diane
Thank you for this opportunity to write about a brickwall that I have been
researching. One of my ancestors, Emma KEAST, born in Cornwall about 1841,
married while still in England sometime in the 1860's. She later had three
children, Lizzie, William and Bessie. I do not have birth dates for two of
the children but have a date of 1869 for William. A short time after that
her husband died and in 1870 she immigrated to America with her three
children. After arriving here she married again in about 1871 to James
THOMAS and they had seven more children including my grandmother. I have
been unable to find any information about her in England including who her
parents were and who her first husband was. I have information about William
and Bessie in America but have been unable to find out anything about
Lizzie; whether she died on the trip over or shortly after making it to
America in 1870. I would appreciate it if anyone has information about Emma
during her life in Cornwall and also if anyone knows anything about her
children, especially Lizzie.
Edith
