I have at last received my little book of Dorset Recipes. Who would like to
taste
Cider baked pears
Dorset Fair Gingerbreads
Pear & Ginger Upside down Pudding
Shearer's stew
Nutty Baked Cabbage
Apple & Blueberry Eve's Pudding
......and many more that you'll have to discover for yourselves at
"Favourite Dorset Recipes" by Amanda Persey published by Salmon Ltd ISBN
1-898435-04-9. Cost approx one pound. Probably easily available in UK, I got
mine through Amazon, but before the cops come and get me for breaching
copyright, and HJ sends me a thunderbolt, I must add I get no commission
from anyone!
I'm going to have whack at a Lyme Bay Fish Pie, followed by a couple of Lamb
Steaks and finish off with Gooseberry & Elderflower Jelly. After almost 40
years of living in France I hate to admit that I don't feel up to washing
all that down with a pint of scrumpy, so I'll just have some Rosé de
Provence. NO, I'm not a barbarian, but try and find scrumpy down here!
