i'm also new to the list i'm trying to find a birth of my husbands grandfather so that i can start tracing his tree unfortunately this is proving to be very difficult, one reason being unfortunately there isn't a great deal of info available from this side of the family as they have nearly all passed away ,anyway i have managed to contact a aunt in Bradford where they lived she seemed to think that he may have been born in Durham as they had relatives in the area,the reason i've joined your list is because the aunt said he died in 1951 aged 60 which makes his birth for 1891 which ive found a entry in Auckland,please is there any one searching Brooksbank as i really need some help,i'm looking for WILLIAM FLOWER BROOKSBANK BN 1891.I know later he marries Elizabeth Allen but where,best wishes june
