Hello Listers,

I have a friend travelling to Durham in the next few weeks and wondered if anyone could tell me where records would be kept for the Monkwearmouth/Sunderland area. Would they be in Durham or Sunderland.
Looking for any information on COLEBROOK children born in the 1800's in Monkwearmouth.
Their parents were Edwin COLEBROOK (Born Little Bookham) and Elizabeth Jane CHEVERTON (born Sunderland)
I have this family living at 64 Dame Dorothy St, Monkwearmouth at the time of the 1891 census. If anyone could help with ideas as to where to start our search it would be most helpful.
