Hello all,
I would be very happy to here from anyone who has connections to my maternal g,grandparents,Thomas Mathews & Ellen MORRIS. Thomas was born Sept. 8th.1849 at Llanferres,Denbighshire, Wales & Ellen March 19th.1850 at Maentwrog,Merionethshire,Wales.
They moved to the Sunderland area about 1882 with their first son Charles they then had a further 6 children namely,Thomas,(my grandfather) Mary Ellen,John,George,Stanley & Edith Jane.
I know that Mary Ellen married Frederick Whinn and lived in South Hetton & that George emigrated to Australia and died out there.I have a photo. of John and his wife Lily that was sent to my grandmother as a Christmas card.
My grandfather married Sarah Jane CUSHLOW and lived in South Hetton.
