Hi Adrian
The National Roll of the Great War was a commercial publication which had the
goal of recording details of all soldiers who took part in the war. This
grand aim was not realised and details of soldiers from a small number of
cities only were published. The publication is particulatly useful since it
is one of the few publications in which service and other details of soldiers
who survived the conflict are recorded. Some volumes, listed below, are
deposited at the Society of Genealogists' Library. It is not known whether
the gaps in the volume numbering relate to volumes which were published.
These missing volumes have not so far been found.
Section v Luton
Section vii London
Volume viii Leeds
Section xi Manchester
Section xiii London
Section xiv Salford
The last five are published on CD Rom by Archive CD Books
