I am having no luck at all with my Dodds ancestors and hope someone can help.
Joseph Dodds and his wife Jane are on the 1841 census, both aged 50 in Monkwearmouth. I found their children baptized at St. Peters as follows Jane 1822, Elizabeth 1823, Mary 1824, Thomas 1825 and Sarah 1831.
Joseph is listed as an innkeeper on Broad Street (now Roker Avenue). I have not been able to find these folks on the 1851 census. In the directory for 1842, 1847 and 1855 Joseph is listed as an innkeeper at the Queen Victoria, Broad Street. I have no further record of them except for Jane who married Robert Edward Gray as they are my great grandparents and I have followed them with no trouble.
An suggestions about the rest of the family would be greatly appreciated.
