I bought "Your Family Tree" this morning and within minutes found my
g-grandfather Miles Abstemious PEARSON living at 1 Offerton Street in 1902.
He wasn't there in the 1901 census and I was not sure whether he had left
home (he was a lodger in Stockton that night) or was just away. But he gets
home in 1902.

Also I found that 23 High Street West (formerly George Arnett's draper and
hosier shop 1851- 1880) is now Fidler Robson's draper's. George was Miles'
father-in-law. Well worth the shopping trip - and I have a magazine to read
too!
