I'm hoping some "lads" supporter out there might be able to help me with this one.
I have recently aquired a silver coin/medallion with Sunderland Football Club badge on one side and on the reverse it says "FA Cup Centenary" and "1937 Preston North End". It also has the dates 1872-1972 on it, so it wasn't minted in 1937. Can someone tell me what this might be referring to please?
Was 1937 the time they won the cup in those 100 years??
Many thanks
Joan
