My gg-grandfather married in Union Chapel, Sunderland. Would appreciate
any information on this chapel and its location in Sunderland.

You don't give a date!
Non-conformity was dominant in the town and there were a lot of Chapels
belonging to the various denominations. There was one that seems to have been
called 'Union Chapel'
in Coronation Street opened by the United Presbyterians in 1822. It was in
communion with the United Session Church of Scotland, and formerly occupied
the chapel in Spring Garden Lane, erected in 1766.

There was also a Union Chapel in Chester Road opened in 1889. Of the
Congregational Church here was the Union in the Royalty
