Subject: [ENG-DUR-SUNDERLAND] Margaret HUNTLEY of Burdon

My ggg grandmother, Margaret HUNTLEY, was born c. 1785/86 in Bishopwearmouth
(census records and death certificate). According to the baptism record of
her son Thomas (1811 Bishopwearmouth) she was a native of Burdon. So far I've
been unable to find any record of her birth/baptism/parents.
The only Huntley family I know was definitely at Burdon in the relevant
period is that of Thomas Huntley and Mary nee Gregson (married 1760),
generally described as of East Burdon. Several of their children appear in
the NBI as buried at Bishopwearmouth in the 1780's.
Other Huntleys that I know were born in Burdon are Thomas Gregson Huntley b.
c. 1781 (censuses) who was a butcher and landed proprietor of Monkwearmouth
and his sister Eleanor Browell nee Huntley (b.c. 1776, married Edward
Browell 1796). The Browells were living in Burdon in 1841 and 1851. The
Monkwearmouth connection is interesting as Margaret Huntley married John
Scott at St Peter's in 1806.
There was also a Henry Huntley, b. c. 1776, and his family at Tunstall in
1841.
What puzzles me is that I can't find baptisms for any of the above Huntleys
in the IGI. Were there any chapels in the vicinity of Burdon where baptisms
might have taken place?
I'd be interested to know if anyone else has done any research into this
family.
Cheers
