My 3rd great-grandfather was William ABBOTT. Birthplace, unknown; he married
Jane BROWN, from Richmond, in Catterick on May 2 1803.
They then lived in Richmond and had 12 children; the oldest, George Brown
ABBOTT was my 2nd great grandfather, the oldest child, born about 1803.
William was a labourer; George was a tailor.
I have a complex tree of some of the descendants of William; there were so
many children, that they founded quite an Abbott dynasty in the area.
If this looks like it may be connected to your Abbott, let me know the
details and I will see if I can connect up and give you the links.
