The next meeting of the Oxfordshire Family History Society will take place
on Monday 22 June 2009 at the usual venue at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road,
Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB. Doors open at 7.15pm for coffee, help with both
genealogy and computers, and the bookstall, exchange journals and the library.

After a brief AGM at 8.00pm, the subject of the talk is "GENUKI - the
internet's UK & Ireland Genealogical Information Service". GENUKI is a website
which claims to be a "large collection of genealogical information pages
for England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of

Our speaker on this topic is Malcolm Austen, who is well-known to many
folks with Oxfordshire research interests. An Abingdon resident and a native of
Kent, Malcolm is a member of our society's executive committee and its
current webmaster. A former editor of our journal the "Oxfordshire Family
Historian", Malcolm is also a trustee of the registered charity that runs
GENUKI. As such, Malcolm is well-placed to guide us through the splendid
resource that the site puts at our fingertips.
