Hi All
The January issue of Family Tree Magazine has in its Webmaster's Choice
column a link to a local history database compiled by Kingston University.
This can be found at http://localhistory.kingston.ac.uk.
The database contains the following:
Census records for Kingston Upon Thames Census Area - 1851 to 1891
Bonner Hill Cemetery Burial Registers - 1855 to 1911
Kingston Parish Burial Registers - 1850 to 1901
Kingston Parish Marriage Registers - 1850 to 1901
and you can search all four simultaneously by surname, forename, etc. The
database brings records from different sources together in one place.
Knowing that Edward TOGHILL and family lived in Kingston, I checked the
database. We already knew most of the information in the database, but the
following was new:
Charlotte Maria TOGHILL - buried 12th August 1880 at St John the Baptist,
Malden. Abode - Malden
Edward TOGHILL - buried 12th August 1891 at St John the Baptist, Malden.
Abode - Malden
Incidentally, there are a number of TEAGLEs also listed - the search engine
throws them up as a similar spelling to TOGHILL. Some of these are
Gloucestershire Teagles.
