Thanks Bob for encouraging me to spend money! I "bought" 5 entries.

One bit of advice to anyone thinking of doing the same. The downloaded
pages contain multiple entries, sometimes there is one page, sometimes
two. With all the ones I had all the entries related to Gloucestershire,
so effectively I "bought" numerous entries for each £3.50. The moral of
this is, if you want a couple of entries from the same year buy them
separately because you may be lucky and find that both appear on the
same page!

I'll post details of any that might interest any of you.

The National Archives has started making Death Duty registers available
online. These registers can add useful details to what you may already
know
from a will, or help you decide if getting a copy of the will would be
useful.



At present, the documents online only cover the years 1796-1811, but
there
are twelve from Hawkesbury in that period.
