She must have been very able and with a full complement of marbles because she dealt with the will by August in 1828, when she was 84. I can see now why Robt left so much of his property to his chums i.e. he was dying when he madde it and wanted to relieve of the burden of a new will whilst making sure his wishes would be carried out? I wonder if she was his first wife?
You seem to be the expert and guardian of so much of Hawkesbury matters, I wonder if you'd like to have the copy of the will, if no one else sticks their head up? If so I'll be happy to send it together with Samuel's.
Cheers
Brian

Hi, Carole,
Thanks for that prompt and very useful info! Sarah must have been about
10yrs his senior.
Best wishes

Hello Brian
The Gloucestershire FHS Marriage index has the 2 COOK girls marrying at
Kings Stanley.
Ann COOK = Thomas HEAVEN 7 July 1822 banns
Hannah COOK = John LONGFORD 1 Feb 1824 banns

The Glos FHS Burial index lists Robert COOK as of Hawkesbury Hillesley.
A Sarah COOK, same abode, was buried at Hawkesbury 2 Jan 1831 age 87.

Cheers
Carole

Subject: [HWK] Robert COOK'S Will 1828

Hello, Listers especially COOK researchers
I've just received the Will of Robert COOK who died in 1828, b 1757.
He seemingly had no children, was married to a Sarah, who administered
his Will and he had a bro George (beneficiary) and a bro Thomas who
predeceased him. Thomas had two daus Ann who married HEAVENand Hannah
who married LONGFORD, ovbiously before 1828 and being Robert's nieces
were named beneficiaries.
Robert was a direct descendant of Samuel & Margaret as shown by Samuel's
Will.
So does anybody have data to fill in the gaps offered by the above?
If anyone has the expertise to translate the Will correctly for the
benefit of all interested Listers (it is quite well written) but I'm
somewhat puzzled by the implications of the text in parts.
Brian
