Hi all

Hope you're all coping with the "heatwave"!!!!

I've been researching my CHARLES ancestors and have
found them on the 1851, 1881 and 1901 censuses.
What I am hoping is that some kind person with access
to the 1841, 1861, 1871 and/or 1891 censuses can help
me fill in the gaps.

On the 1851 census they are living at Oldcroft and the
family consists of Ann age 43 (widowed) with her
children Henry (19) James (16) my great great
grandfather William (14)Hannah (9) and Elizabeth (2).

I have then found my great great grandfather William
on the 1881 census with his wife Maria and their young
family. They are living at Yorkley with children
William (15) Henry (15) Ann (11) my great grandad
Thomas (9) Samuel (7) James (3) and Hewbert (8
months).

I have found William (the husband of Maria) and his
son Thomas lodging in New Tredegar, South Wales during
the 1891 census and then the whole family (minus Henry
and Hewbert) living in Tirphil, South Wales in 1901.

I'm hoping that someone will have access to the 1841,
1861, 1871 and 1891 census records for Oldcroft,
Yorkley or surrounding areas and would be willing to
look for any Charles families in these areas .

Also, if anyone has connections to Charles families in
these areas, I'd love to hear from you.
Best Wishes
Much appreciated
Kath
