The story handed down in my husbands family is that at sometime in the
1800's a Mr Tyler owned mining rights in the Forest of Dean. With the money
he made he built a row of cottages - Tyler's Row - in Cinderford. At some
stage he lost most of his money and he sold the row of houses.
I would like to find out the story of the mining rights is fact or fiction.
I know the row of houses are still there. Would be grateful if someone tell
me where I could find information on mining rights.
Regards Shirley
