Although you didn't ask, I searched the 1861 ships census but not a single
VICAT.

I am still hunting around for any VICAT entries in the Portsmouth area. I
wonder if you could have a look at the St Andrew's, Portsmouth PRs for the
period 1770 to 1840 approx (B,M and Ds).
I would also be interested in any 1861 census entries.
Please say if this too much to ask.
