do not know the parents however I have been contacted by a per son who
apparently thinks that this William is probaby a part of his family from
Dorset. here is his Genes message. get back to you later


Hi Robert,
You have William CAINS b. 1771 Dorset and you have his children born in
Gosport. I am trying to prove the that the William born in Dorset and the
William later living in Gosport are the same person. My g.g.g. uncle William
CAINES was bap. 21 Jul 1771 Lydlinch, s. of Benjamin & Margaret, née
HOPKINS, and I have some circumstantial evidence to suggest that he was the
same one living later in Gosport. Can you help please?
