Hello Margaret and John,

Thanks very much indeed for the Burghclere information. That parish is
about the only one in the area that I had not checked, having had a quick
look at research records.
It looks as though you have struck gold for me and after about fourteen
years the answer appears to have been told.
The moral to everybody is of course Never Give Up.
