Hi everyone
Have only recently started family searching but have come across quite a few Hedg(e)cocks in Kingsclere. At the moment it's only been searches on the internet as I'm mainly doing a One-Name-Study and after that I'll work out the certificates to get. They are rather expensive!
Is anyone out there studying them too or come across any odd bits of info?

My line originally starts in Wittersham, Kent with William Edgecock born abt 1700. Within a couple of generations the surname for certain individuals had changed to either of the 2 Hedgcock spellings. His gg-grandson was married at St James, Westminster so living there as well. His ggg-grandson emigrated to Australia via New Zealand some time in the 1880's. My family came back to London in 1966. Whilst I'm interested in my line I'm actually interested in all with the name.
Many thanks if anyone can help.

Andrea Hedgcock
