This message was originally sent five days ago but has just been returned to
me by the Mailer Daemon as it couldn't be sent within five days. Presumably
the list is now back to normal as my follow-up to this e-mail did get posted
earlier this evening:

Thanks to Peter Goggin I now have a better idea of the date of the above
postcard. The green half-penny stamp on the postcard was first issued in 1912
and remained current until 1924. It was apparently reissued in 1924 with a
different watermark and the reissue remained current until 1934. Unfortunately,
the watermark can only be seen if the stamp is removed from the postcard. The
postmark is too faint to identify the date. So in summary, the postcard was
posted sometime between 1912 and 1934.
