This is of interest as I have been looking at the Collins family who
were in and around Kingsclere in the 1770-1850s and perhaps later.
I found two Collins children at Douai Abbey in Upper Woolhampton in
1851.

Interestingly it seems that some of them married in an RC church
and also at an Anglican church later. It is likely this was because
"They were not registered for marriages for civil purposes"

Baptisms for this family took place at Ufton Court which is near
Reading or Woolhampton.

In particular this item in Catholic Ancestor 3:4 (1990) entitled
Berkshire Catholic Missions and their Registers will be of interest
and the registers for Berkshire, ie

Buckland
Baptisms 1753-1845
Marriages 1831-1855

Ufton Court
Baptisms 1756-1828
Confirmations 1741-1788
Deaths & obituaries 1694-1775

Woolhampton
Baptisms 1732-1800
Confirmations 1741-1811

will be available at the CATHOLIC CENTRAL LIBRARY, Farnborough when it
re-opens after the move from London (if not already open)

Indeed, it has answered one of my questions about marrying in
a RC church followed by a ceremony in the Anglican church
