Hello All,

On Sunday the 25th September 2005 10.00am - 4.00pm. Admission Free

The Hampshire Genealogical Society has its OPEN DAY at the usual place at
Horndean Technical College, Merchistoun Road, Horndean, Hants. Access from
junction 2 off A3M via B2149 Dell Piece West. (turn right over the road
bridge).
The AGM will follow after at 4.30pm for members only.

Many Stands from other Family History Societies, HGS Book stall, Computer
Advice,
Genealogical Supplies. Free Lectures by guest Speakers etc.

On Sunday the 9th October is the 4th Anniversary Lunch, this year will be
held at the
Vine Inn, Hannington. Some of us felt that the Crown Inn, Kingsclere, the
food was not as good as it could have been, also it was noisy with children
running around.

The Vine Inn has a good reputation and our gourmets, Peter and Rita Goff can
recommend it. On a Sunday there are 2 Roasts dishes, a Fish dish and
Vegetarian Pasta dish.
At the moment I am working on the prices with the Vine. The meal, Starters
from £2.95, Roast Dinner costs £8.50 and Sweets from £3.95.

There are still 2 over months to go, so further information will be put on
the List.
Hope many of you will come to the Luncheon, we all look forward to meeting
you, especially the new subscribers.

Where is Hannington, from Basingstoke between the A339 to Kingsclere and the
B3400 to Overton then on the B3051. Only a few miles from Kingsclere.
