One more piece to the Aldridge jigsaw.....the Mary who was staying with
David and Hannah Smith in 1871 was probably the daughter of Alfred and Ann...she
was described as his 'niece' and I note that both Hannah Smith and Ann
Aldridge had the maiden name Woodley, so were probably sisters. This also fits with
the birthplace being given as Ecchinswell.
